The first time you guys pushed the redline on your ///M's did it smell a little bit, like burning? Just did the 1200, i am at like 1272 right now, just wondering, is it doing that because the motor was never there before and had to like burn itself in?? Or is it bad that i had that smell, just wondering if its normal...

I'm at the same mileage - just had the 1200 mile service on Monday. Yes, I've notice that smell after harder driving.

its most likely just the coatings working their way off the exhaust/cats/mufflers when you finally heat them up to true op. temperature. All new cars/exhausts have a funny smell for a while. It should be fine, as long as it doesn't smell of oil/coolant, etc.

no its not oil or coolant, it s a strange smell, nothing ive really sniffed before

def has to be something burning off....i will see if it persists

its an exhaust small - I have had this before on an old vehicle when I had a new pipe and muffler installed.
