My 2002 M3 has just recently started giving me a red headlight indicator on the dashboards picture of the car(right side). Stepped out, and sure enough, it's out. Turn the lights on and off a couple of times, same deal. Check forums and online prices for bulb replacement, 2 hours later start it up to go somewhere and it's fine.:help 3 days later, it's done it again. Is this some strange ground lift some of you have dealt with before? Thanks in advance.:)

it could be the ballast as well. try swapping bulbs side to side and see if the problem follows.

Mine 330Xi is doing the same thing. What did you find /? If I switch to non-auto it come on. Have not traded bulbs yet. RwB
