a friend is selling a 83 320i, went over and drove it, looks to be pretty nice, only rust is under each tailight, under the mat in the trunk was some water, no other rust in the trunk, could this be fron the trunk seal? new tires, cloth interior with small rips, also no sunroof, and a/c switch is missing, also u have to push way down on the brake pedal to make them work, it was like this when he got it, he replaced the master cyl, still the same, also charging light was on dimly, but it started right up, had the lights on and seemed ok, is this common, completely stock, body straight, its 1200 firm, what do u think?

the water in the trunk is most likely the seal, and i have no idea about the brakes (just ask about the hydraulic clutch, i know all about that one:rolleyes ) 1200 sounds fair as long as it runs and drives well, but make sure he gives you ALL the information he has about it, and have a trusted mechanic have a look at it too. hidden problems arn't cheap.

Chances are the water is from the tailight seals and not the trunk seal. The brake pedal could be a number of things, air in the system, leaking this or that, etc. Most likely it wasnt bleed properly if its a new MC. Also 1200 could be fair, depending on what needs to be fixed.

how many miles on it? Be sure to check out the underbody of the car, look for little rust holes in the floorpan and everything. With the brakes, it could just be air in the line, or low fluid. Good luck and have fun!

My car is polaris metallic with a little ascott (spelling), some flaking clear coat, and that classic 27 year old bare metal look. Mine must be worth a fortune.

Don't forget to also consider the rarity of the stock color. As is the case with Sierra Beige! So far John and I are the only ones with this classic color. I think this should qualify as entering into the realm of ..... priceless!!! :D

ahahahaha I HAD saph BL but i changed it up myself as well..there was some rust and slight body repair that was needed plus i shaved the molding (holes only) but kept the body line so i changed up the color to a temporary Grey. come to think about it.i kind of regret it..ive been thinking of spicing up something saph BL meets metallic and a touch of something else. not to sure..maybe a silver?.
