I am trying to leave my car as intact as possible and splicing wires to extend the MAF harness is out of the question. there is currently enough slack right now but I would like to move it further away from the engine. I am wondering if anyone knows who makes a harness for this and how much is it gonna set me back?

You put a blower on it, so why does it matter how intact the HFM harness is?:)
Why not cut the harness, ~ a foot back from the plug.. and solder in 4 wires of equal length to make the harness longer?
I did think though that NickG made some form of extension harness...PaulE may know better about that....

Its a simple process to do yourself, its only 4 wires. A little soldering, some heat shrink insulation and you're done.

Maybe he just doesn't feel comfortable soldering it...
OP, when you return your harness to stock (Seriously, do you ever see yourself doing this??) you can simply cut the wires and re-solder them shorter.
And it doesn't need to be mentioned, but make sure to use heatshrink...

Eric,
Extending them is real easy and it looks perfectly stock if you heatshrink the wires individually and then wrap them all in that hockey stick tape like the factory uses.

Or you could get the plugs from BMW and make your own extension.

yea, I might as well save a buck and break out the cold fusion or whatever that weird soldering gun I have is. I never thought of just cutting and resoldering if I want to put her back to stock.
I know it has the blower on it but I have managed to leave almost everything unaltered in the engine bay, besides a few vaccume lines and the idler pulley.

That cold fusion TV soldering iron is pretty useless. About the only good thing it does is desoldering wires or connections. Take yourself over to Radio Shack or its equivalent and buy yourself the wire, solder, heat shrink, and a good soldering gun. They sell a soldering iron that is in kit form with the holder and a small section of sponge that you dampen with water. When you solder tip gets dirty, just wipe the tip on the damp sponge.

This man speaks the truth. The cold fusion will only serve to irritate you and waste your time. I tried to use one we had in our shop when I did my LBF "Fix" and it was an utterly useless tool.
