short shifter and then a few minor but noticable cosmetic mods that are really cheap..like painted front reflectors and some smoked corners..can get both shipped to you for around $100 and they really make a world of a difference.

what color car do you have? and a coupe or vert?

for silver..you definately need some cosmetic mods..you could skip the smoked corners and get a blacked out kidney grilled first, and painted front reflectors are a must on any color.

A silver m3 begs for blacked our side grilles and front kidney grilles..its "teh sechs" as they say. I have a black car so i like the way the stock ones contrast my car but they blend in too much on the silver

no bother im at work..anything to make the day go quicker.

bimmian.com has some good prices on both the painted reflectors and blacked out grilles..also check out bimmerperformancestore.com There are plenty other places that sell them and possibly for cheaper but i havent price checked the grilles because i didnt need them since my car is black and i dont like the black on black look too much. The painted reflectors i believe are cheaper at bimmian then anywhere else atleast it was when i bought them a couple months back.

you can also check out umnitza's or jlevi's websites if you like the thought of changing out lighting. Maybe getting some angel eyes (they run around $200 but were well worth it to me) or you can also pick up some fog light bulbs because if you havent noticed the stock fog lights do not match the headlight color at all and it bothered me (those are only $40 i believe)

edit: not sure how long before you plan on doing these mods but i can upload pics later tonight or tomorrow to show you before and after photos so you can see what a difference smoked corners/painted reflectors make..and then even the difference between stock fogs and the new trumatch ones

When I was looking for low cost modding, I just looked at the sponsors of each of the forums I frequent.

That is what I would suggest
Hope this helps.

i always do this once i know 100% what i want; to find which place has it the cheapest...with the exception of ebay, because ebay is like a box of chocolates you never know what you're gonna get. (except for when you can tell its the same brand that the real sponsors carry)

see the only problem i have is that even thought i pay the payments.......my dad pays insurance so he can control what i do to it by threatening to quit paying.....so i need something that i can easily put on and take off come time to sell the car in a few years

don't take this as an insult but:

how about selling the car for something that you can afford comfortably?
