Hi,

I've made two large tables of the original wheels available with the E46 and would like your help checking for accuracy, for both USA and Canada.

Wheels here! (http://www.steerbythrottle.com/hccyong/cars/E46_Wheels/)

It's not entirely complete, but I have included the sedans, coupes, cabriolets and tourings of the various applicable model years. I need particular help in checking the Canadian content and also the less common models and options of earlier years.

Kindly email me by clicking on my email button below my posts to comment.

I realize that there are some formatting issues, especially with Netscape. Also, for because the Canadian cars of some years were not easily sorted into base/premium/sport, there may be some errors depending on interpretation. Please let me know if you think of a better way to do the Canadian cars.

Thanks for your patience and assistance.

if you'd add the sizes and offsets that would be pretty schweeeeet .....

I'd love to see something like this for the E36, all model years.

That's pretty sweet! From my quick glances, everything seems in order.

I'll try to get around to that, although it'll be a lot more "data," but it shouldn't be too difficult.

The reason I did it for the E46 is that there are lots more wheels and variations. I think I can recall the E36s with pretty good accuracy from my head. Well, at least the Canadian ones because that's where I was for most of the E36's life cycle :)

Great page.

My '99 328i sp came with type 32's (which I don't think I saw).

Did you buy your car new? I've never seen an E46 come like that from the factory?

Style 32 is this radial styling one. That's what your car came with?

That's the wheel.

I bought car cpo - so I can't be 100% sure what came from factory. Any way I can tell?

The spare (never has been used) is also a type 32.

I don't know how you can tell. What option packages do you have? I've just never seen that wheel offered as part of a package or as standard equipment.

It would be good to catalog them by size and weight, too.
