Holy shit where'd the engine go? I missed any thread you may have posted about what you're doing - what's the deal? Engine upgrade? Overrev? What? Your car looks BAD ASSS from your sig pic - I'm curious of what you got going on...

^Throttle stuck at WOT and ended up in the back of a truck, still free-revving and bouncing off the limiter with no one in the car.

True, I guess you know that you can push the pedal all the way down at 1000rpm, but if it sticks at that position, it can still accelerate to buggery

Nicotine: Man, forget about your car, you are looking *good*! You've lost a shitload of weight, my sexy friend ...

Golgotha- The engine stripped to make it easier to get the job done...and the interior stripped for safety issues as there have been cases of interiors catching on fire. My car was driven by a friend and had an unfortunte accident and hit a parked truck. Insurance covered the damage but not my accessories like wheels, strut brace and a few other stuff. but the damage is around $36K or US$20K but the engine and structure is a OK. thanx I hope to have one of the top convertibles around.

m52- Insurance will only be a problem in the future in the advent of another accident... Will be changing insurance companies more inclined to mods.

Blown3- Thanx for the wheels man! Will see you when you get back.

Mrblonde- Thanx man..ehehe I didnt realise how happy I looked . Anyways have been trying to lose some weight...cos its cheaper to lose my body weight then my car... And mate without my car I havent been half as happy... Man we gotta to do another run with Nick and all that..

Update- Pic of my new wheels but mine will come with a gold center.

Lol Kendog.

Nico is preparing to replace ol' Guido Hazzis for Final Battle this year ;)

All that hard yakka is showing. You've given me inspiration to head off to the gym to get the weight training happening.

Nico, those wheels will look quite mad on the car.

I can't wait till its all finished up again. Its been a long time coming now, I'm sure you are getting more and more anxious as each day passes.

You gonna leave it raw?

With mine, I had them mask off an Alfa Romeo Serpent, so you can still see the carbon under it- for Auto Salon Credit points, you should mask off the M symbol.

GOTTA DO IT MAN!

Bonnet will be raw for a while see how I feel and if I don't like it than I'll paint it but what pattern I dont know yet.

The car is in paintshop at the moment.. They've got to put the engine and interior for the whole of next week 6 days to do it I think its reasonable and doable.

Erik- Can't wait to get the car back mate! The rest of the year will be on engine and multimedia mods...FI may have to wait for another year sticking to N/A will get me more trophies at autosalon.hehe

Nico: Sounds good man!

Hold onto them for me. I know you can get yours painted pretty much for free since your car is in the workshop already but do you know about painting prices? Are they the wrap around? I prefer the non-wrap-arounds. But hold onto them for me unless there is someone that's eager to buy it off you.

Boost will be kept the same I think - but the more efficient turbo and other small mods should help responsiveness. I think my car boosted too slow before so hopefully it'll boost quicker. On the other hand, your car is gonna be shaving some weight (are the new rims gonna be lighter? remember to give me mine back!)

See you guys in around 3 weeks time! Take it easy!

Allen, considering you have traction problems due to the lack of LSD? Shouldn't you be addressing that before getting more power into the car?

Can't wait to see the car back out there :) Scaring grannies again with the loud BOV ;0

May be more worthwhile to hook up some decent rubber and experiment with the spring rates of the Bilsteins, but thats for another thread...

 Those rims look awesome! What are they called? I cant seem to find them on the ROH site.

Update- The car will definitely finish next week friday or saturday latest if nothing comes up. So that is great news.

Allen- I'll be selling my eyelids...I'll sell u mine painted in your body color for $150 ?? hows that sound ? Cos I'll be getting ACS S3's E46 Look eyelids. If not I'll sell you the eyelids for $75.

Nite- ROH havent updated the website. These wheels are hard to get at the moment very high demand and take 6-8 weeks even longer for custom jobs like mine. They have a dealer in the US. I think its around US$3000 with tires

Girls and spring rates won't help that single spinning wheel putting 190+rwkw down to the ground ;)

Babbo: Ideally - yes. But there's not enough time in one year to do all my mods. I want to go and be able to stop first. Saving some money for brakes. Don't forget this is a street car which I'm only keeping for another year.

Pete: Yep - I need some new rubber but being the cheaparse I am I'll prolly just get Falken again :buttrock

Nico: I didn't like the way your car's eyelids sat out so far. Looked a bit weird.

Allen, thats fair enough.

I can't imagine how your younger cousin is going to be learning to drive in that beast....

Allen- Does your car have the dimples on the headlights ?? if so than any eyelid is going to be like that..Also my eyelids were for a 4 door so it didnt go on the indicators properly so I'll be getting them cut so not wrap around...Anyways You had only a budget of $100..you not going to find original eyelids for that price.

Hey when you sell the car I'm up for some parts of your car. Which brakes u getting AP ??

Also if you have any probs with traction I'll sit in your car.

Good thing though is that when I get my car all the mods I bought ACS S3 will be in.

Nicotine: Believe it when you see it. The car industry is notorious for over promising and under delivering.

But it looks good! Now's your chance to dump all that stereo gear and CF crap and go the FI!!!!

nicot
01-22-2003, 05:11 AM
kenny- FI end of next year mate...can't afford to have the car out action for too long at this stage...not to mention I can't afford FI yet.

Yeah I know bout over promising...didn't mention the fact they were closed on saturday...hell at least they got one person full time doing it and occassionally two people doing it.

My stereo gear isn't heavy cos I took my spare ...my car should be lighter now...Stereo gear is only heavy if its a big custom job which mine isnt yet !
