Does the 1 series have an M-model anywhere? I thought i read about one, so i decided just to ask you guys. I figure you all know a hell of alot more than me about one...

Yes there is an M1...But it was a race car. However there were street models available...Its nothing like the new 1 series

It is such a legendary car that calling anything based of the 1-series an M1 would be a mockery of the name.

I read they are coming out with an M version of the 1-series but they're not gonna call it M1 so as not to associate it with the exotic M1 from the '80s.

Currently, there is a 130i M sport package in europe. It's the closest thing to a full M 1 series right now. A 135iM is apparently in the works utilizing the new twin turbo motor in the 335's. I think the engine code is n54.

M sport packages are usually just suspension, wheels, and body upgrades.
