Just a couple of quick questions.

1) RealOEM shows 2 part #'s for the O2 sensor, 11 76 1 277 565 and 11 76 1 466 063. The second part # (ending in 063) it says "ended", but that is the part # that BMP Design carries for the O2 sensor replacement. Anybody know if there is any significant difference between the two?

2) Is that Bosch removal tool really any help? BavAuto is asking $18.95 for the tool, and $33.95 for the sensor. Should I get it, or save my money and use an open-end wrench?

you can get an O2 sensor socket (a hardened steel socket with a slot cut in the side of it for the wires) for about $9 at kragen.

or if you have a grinder and a table vise, you could make your own with a regular $2 deep socket, that will eventually break but works in a pinch ;)

save your money...have you tried to remove it yet? spritz a little pB on it if needed....wait a 1/2 hour...it will come out- no tool needed.
