This sounds the most interesting. I'll follow-up with you via email. Any pictures?? What color interior/exterior and what kind of shape is the body in? Which engine?

Thanks for the reply. Hoping to get something with a little less wear and tear but I would like to see some pictures if available? If the body's clean I may consider it.

Not what I'm looking for, I think e30 is the minimum. But sounds like a decent deal for somebody to pick up a classic. Good luck and thanks for the reply.

gotcha, the body is in good shape. Tranny is still good. most project cars don't end up with the same engine anyway so this is a good starting point IMO :)

Ideally I'd like to be able to get a little use of the vehicle before I rip the engine out ... but then again your certainly not asking 5K for yours. Would love to see some pics!

heh yeah, with some basic maintenance I dont see why this car wouldn't last for a good long time. My friend right now is riding in a 325i Non vanos well over 200k in far worse shape mechanically and we just made the trip up to Vermont in it~
Alpin3r 01-14-2007, 08:36 AM I have a 93 325is PTG WIDEBODY for sale. Painted Lemans BMW blue. It has 13.5" rear wheels running 335 rubber; 10.5" wheels in the front.
Widebody + Install - cost 4500
Wheels + Tires - cost 2000
Autopower 4 point Bolt in Roll Cage - cost 650
Corbue Racing Seats + Harness's - cost 800
Brand new Black interior - cost 850
Brand new Sparco Lap 5 Wheel - cost 250
Car loooks very nice, I just do not have time to finish the project.
It has no motor/tranny...... driveshaft is there along with a UUC short shift kit. Either swap to the s50/s52 or stay with the 325 motor, I was going to (if I ever got the funds) turbo this car.
Im looking for 7k OBO
Sounds like the one from Fort Lauderdale Florida?

It is, i dont have the time to finish it.
I put in the new interior because the one that came it it was spraypainted! and aslo installed the roll cage/harness's and the sparco wheel. I also stripped/primered the trunk & back seat.. it is now race ready as soon as a motor/tranny go into her.

I did checkout the picture on this car...is ready nice i would said.
z0lt3c 01-15-2007, 11:40 PM Well it seems like the magic number to spend on a project car like I'm looking for is more like $7K. Pretty crazy when you consider I got my 97 e39 540iA for $7K. I may have to save up for a few more months to get what I'm looking for... A few more things;
- I think I've settled on the e36. Although the e30 can look really nice when all decked out w/ trim and badging, I think the e36 looks pretty decent without a bunch of body work.
- It really needs to have a running engine, unless it's an incredible vehicle, and needs to be at least street legal. I need to use it as a backup to the 540 when I need to work on it, which seems to be every other weekend. It doesn't have to be street comfortable but I gotta get it through NJ inspection.
heh yeah, with some basic maintenance I dont see why this car wouldn't last for a good long time. My friend right now is riding in a 325i Non vanos well over 200k in far worse shape mechanically and we just made the trip up to Vermont in it~
still waiting on these pictures!! I think this maybe the only car offered actually in my price range ;)

Thanks again everyone...

looks cool man. I dunno if I can justify spending 7k on a 3 series no offense. I know theres a lot of money in work alone on that car. I got plenty of motors to stick into that thing~~
Makster 01-16-2007, 09:08 AM i'm willing to trade my car for that.
z0lt3c 01-17-2007, 06:22 PM What do you guys think of this deal I found on craigslist;
1993 BMW 325is coupe, Sun Roof, Leather, power everything. 176K well maintained miles, Pa inspected till 01/08.
The bad news; auto. However I'm not sure how big a deal is this is since I would like to do a M3 swap at some point and it seems converting to manual isn't that big of a deal. The car's outside Philadelphia. I think I can get it for a little under $2500. Here are some pics;

Black96m3 01-17-2007, 08:41 PM not bad although through my experience with auto to manual, it is nice but id rather have a manual car to begin with so I don't have to do all that bastardized wiring.

Black96m3 01-17-2007, 08:57 PM TONIGHT HOPEFULLY!!! helping a friend swap rims and take pics of his car for sale, hopefully we will get to mine aswell!
z0lt3c 01-19-2007, 12:42 PM Ive got an e30 ive been debating on selling for a while.... i still daily the car (when im not in a full arm cast), so i wouldnt consider it a true project car, but i like to think its 3/4 of the way to being a Beast.Note: Brakes were done less than 1k miles ago and are not shown in pics. Im asking 5500.
Bob, thanks for the reply. If I was looking for an e30 I would have to seriously consider yours. Looks very nice! I'll think about but at the moment I think I am only looking for an e36 or e28.
z0lt3c 01-19-2007, 12:46 PM So I found a e28 M5. What do you guys think?
1985 BMW e28 M5, 103k miles, 5 sp, 4 door, red exterior, black interior, $4995

Thats what I suspected but the owner seems to insist it's an M5. I'm gonna take a look at this weekend and see what the story is.

I traded a few PM's with him but, yes, he eventually flaked out on me and I didn't want to wait for him anymore. I must have run into 6 or 7 situations like this since I've been looking.
My other frustration, people who list cars as $XXXX OBO but then refuse to negotiate an offer. If you don't want to negotiate please just say $XXXX FIRM.

Thanks,
sbblowz 07-14-2007, 10:46 PM did he give u a price?
