I have to let me 05 STi to cool down before shutting it off, but it is oil cooled. If I'm not mistaken the 335i is liquid and oil cooled like the new STi. So do I have to let it cool down or is it ok to shut it off right away.
Thanks
Claude

^^ Yup but got one on my STi. But if it isn't needed why bother.

Still driving my Audi A6 2.7T twin turbo and I asked that question when I got it back in 2002. I was told those days were over and no quiet rundown was needed. If I recall back in the day turbos needed to be cooled off by oil else they could be so hot that oil would coke. No longer the case, or so I've heard.

It shouldn't be needed as the 335 has an electric water pump that will run the colant through the turbos after the car is shut down. You can hear it running for a few minutes after power down. Hopefully that will do the trick.
