Hi Everybody

I have a Pioneer KEH-P7100RDS-W wich doesn't hold it settings , so i was thinking that probably the internal battery was gone , i opend it up and now i can not find a specific battery therefor i assume that one of the capacitors should be doing the job , there is a big 4700mf capacitor near the power entry.
Can you tell me if i'm assuming this correct.

Doesn't the radio have a battery backup wire in the harness? (either yellow wire (or maybe orange if the radio is really old). Check that wire first.

Yes , the wire is there , checked it , and it gives 12V(13,8V) all the time , still the presets are gone every time i shut down the car , even when i shut it down for a minute

If the wire does have proper voltage, then the radio is probably bad.

Found it , just a couple of cracked solderings , resolderd the whole unit and it's working like a charm again.
