I have a '94 318i last weekend my car started smoking from the interior and I could not find the source, on Monday at about 2pm I parked my car and left to work and 30 minutes later I get called that my car had the airbags deployed. Any advice anyone?

Scary! Do you have any aftermarket equipment (alarm, stereo, illumination?) Maybe something shorted.
