Was originally leaning towards the Z4 M Coupe, but the E92 M3 is intriguing me.
I am -not- willing to pay dealer markup though. How long after the car's release do you think one would be able to purchase it @ MSRP? 6 months? 1 year?

I have a written agreement with my dealer to purchase one at MSRP as soon as they arrive.
So, some dealers are selling at MSRP and not marking up.

Depends on the dealer, some will sell them at MSRP from the start while others will choose to mark them way up.

I talked to the BMW guys at the San Francisco auto show. They said the local dealer will mark the new M3 up by 20k. That's retarded.

You will find one at msrp almost right away. May have to buy it from a dealer a couple hundred miles from home, but that's not gonna stop you;)

The car will most likely have a mark up in populated locations like orange county and los angeles. They have so many people interested in the vehicle that they need to sell it to the ones who cant wait(and have most money) first. The mark up will be somewhat as the m5's was. Roughly $10,000 for about 8 months after release. Being patient would be the thing to do. Who wants to be the first to buy it and find out its a clunker? Wait til the flaws are worked out of the first few released.
