I need my old DME. im not sure i have heard of a non removable chip. Are you 100% sure that is the case?

yea 100 percent, Ive opend it up and the chip I have is numbered 1 267 357 168. The chip is soldered onto the board. It would be nice to have a DME with a removable chip, are you using your DME?

Nah, it's designed for stock tune. If you do, go custom with a piggyback or standalone.

I have same part number DME which is 0 261 200 990 and it's soldiered. Took it apart last week, have done many chips in past and seriously didn't expect it.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, I'm studying abroad in malta and have been fairly busy recently. I have a couple of quick questions but am very interested in the chip: does it require a specific octane (91 I would guess?), are there any issues with putting it on a car with 158xxx miles? do i need to verify any part #s? (dme is that easily accessible?)

when can you pm me? do i need a certain amount of posts?

1. You would need to run at least 91 octane
2. My car has 150k miles so it wont be a problem on your car
3. My car is a 92 so i would assume we wont have issues with it being compatible but checking your DME would make it a for sure.
