wonder if it will make it to the states; if so I wonder what the price point will be.

90% sure thats NOT an N54 equipped 1 series. All 3.0TT BMWs have dual exhaust, not twin exhaust.

I think I do see another exhaust poking out...

I think i see one as well. I'd really hoped that they'd use the 320si diesel motor for the 1 ///M version. Oh well, the n54 would have a better chance of reaching us shores.

edit: found some other pics and there is only one exhaust outlet. That doesn't mean it's not the n54 though. Might just be a way to limit power so it won't interfere with 335 coupe sales at all. Maybe it'll only put out 270bhp or something instead of 300. Who knows, but dual exhaust is hardly a necessity for the n54 or any other motor to put out power. I almost remember reading that the n54 exhuast on the 335 isn't a true dual system anyways, just a split muffler setup. Could be remembering wrong though.

Wouldnt make sense to have N/A I6s with true duals and not TT...it's effective on a dual turbo engine.

Well, it's being reported by autoblog that BMW said the hatch was coming over. I still don't believe it until I hear it directly from BMW though.

I've seen a billboard ad for the 1 series on the I-95 South in Southwest Connecticut (can't remember near what exit) a few times some time ago. Might still be there, it hovers above the northbound looking toward the southbound. I've heard it should arrive in the US early '08, but I can't confirm if it's true.

it probably won't be brought stateside because the original E36 ti's didn't sell very well.

Nope! The z4 coupe bears no resemblance to the Z3, but this one sure does.

if it's not on bmwna's website, then it won't be coming as of yet. I've heard about the 1 series for almost as long as I've been a member of this site. I was optimistic about it coming to the states before, and it still isn't here.

How on earth does the 1 series look like a Z3??
We have both in our garage and they are COMPLETELY different.
Well...they both have four wheels and sound good at 7,000...

BMW won't put anything on their site until they have passed all US emissions and safety tests. The fact is, they are coming.

So why was there nothing on the site about the E90, E92, E93, and 335xi models (and still nothing about the 335xi) until recently?

This will be my next car... IF and ONLY IF, I can get it in a 3 dr hatch.

I know I know, they say no hatches for the US. Well then I say hello audi.

Someone please tell me why this wont be available in the states?

Audi TT? Far as i know the A3 won't be coming in 3 doors to the US. They are having a hard enough time selling the A3 as it is, and you sure as hell don't want to lease one. A3 residual sucks. It's cheaper to lease a loaded A4 than it is a base A3.

the tt is gonna be out of my range. The 335 was tempting, but just not what I wanted after I saw the awd change it to a stoplight chaser instead of a highway runner. The only reason I could get a 335 was through a free ED trip, or pentagon sales. Mine almost fully loaded, how I wanted it, came to just under 40K. Which was pushin it, but doable. If this comes out, Ill just get a low mileage jeep and enjoy this badboy. I will testdrive an A3 if I make it back to the states before I buy something.
