I am looking to have an M52B25 motor put into my 318is....any good places you guys know of. Avg prices? I would only need the motor replaced and a new clutch put in....keeping same tranny.

You can try European Auto on Lincoln Ave (lincoln/sheffield area). They are good and have done some pretty interesting things.

Ask for Steve. I would also recommend stopping by instead of calling.

You can always go to Leo Franchi's Midwest Motorsports in Glenview, I know they've done swaps and are reputable. Bring vaseline with you.

LOL...yeah I've heard they do good work, just at their price, I'd rather go to a dealer.

There is a shop in Rockford that is very reasonable and very good. EuroTech is the name. I know they have done a number of RMS S/C and plenty of engine work etc... If that interests you let me know and I will get you the #. :wave:

Would you recommend them (EuroTech) as far as doing a cam kit install? Not that I'm doing it soon, I just wanna know who I can bring the car too. Also, can Ben Thongsai do this? He's a lot closer to me than Rockford.

You know Rel..I have heard good things about EuroTech....the first I'd heard of them was last summer when I had some tires mounted on my Superleggeras at Discount Tire in Rockford and the guy working on my car told me that they(EuroTech) were just up Alpine(IIRC) and that they had done good work on some of his friends German cars.

I found about EuroTech from a friend of mine that use to work for RMS. He has a 95 with a StgII RMS S/C. He totally recomends them through RMS. Also, I know they have done quite a few S/C installs.:clap: Yes they can deffinitely do cam work! I also know they are very reasonable. They are cheaper than my local BMW dealer. My local BMW dealer charges $68 an hour.:redspot

Ok, cool. First I have to figure out if I'm actually keeping the car. If I am, I'm pretty sure I'll be doing the cams.

We actually have a few customers from the Chicago area. We are in Holland Michigan though, and I know for a fact we can do the work!! :D We would even have the motor and anything else you would need, but alot of people don't want to make the haul.

Where exactly in Michigan are you? I have clients in Lansing and Detroit, and of course our local BMWCCA chapter has driving schools over at Grattan and Gingerman, so making a trip wouldn't be so bad. Have you folks installed AA turbos before?

Hey Rel, we are in Holland. Its about an hour from Grattan. Grattan is about a half hour from my house ( I live in Grand Rapids). You get up here much?

As far as the Turbo, we have done turbos on just about everything but an E36. We put a Texas Turbo kit on an E30, anotehr set-up on an M6. We have two guys that are more than compatant for installing and tuning. We specialize in uro cars, Porsche, Audi, BMW, VW. We also work on Jags, Saabs and we are the only company in Michigan to have the Rover scanner the dealers have. We in the process of upgrading it with the BMW software as well, it was bought straight from England. They do the best damn work, i have yet to see better. The Mechanics are trained european car techs, the owner's both have Audi S4's, so when trying to find the shop you should have no problem . I will hopefully be getting my E46 M3 Motor Swap done by them.

Give em a call, they are capable of doing the work. They focus more towards Audi's, Vw's, and Subaru's, however, they also do Bmw's.
