We aren't allowed to use laptops in ANY of my classes this semester. Ordinarily this wouldn't be a problem as I don't own a laptop, but I have 6 straight hours of class from 12 to 6 on tuesdays and thursdays, so I was planning on buying one so I could screw around in class.
Luckily I have a smartphone so I can still post and email, but still... I could be on AIM or something. :shifty
I thought this was a TECH school. :shifty :shifty

Was there an incedent that caused the "no laptop rule"?
I'm curious to hear the reasoning behind such a crazy thing.
There wasn't any event or anything, I'm just taking grownup classes now. :rofl

Yeah, that's how all junior and senior level classes are. I haven't taken my laptop to class regularly in a year. Meh, it does make you pay better attention. :dunno

In my day, a laptop computer was if somebody who wanted to kill you pushed a Trash 80 onto you when you were writing a program in Basic.

It's an individual teacher thing. They just tell you to shut it. :dunno
