I thought this was discussed but searched and couldn't find anything. Does anyone have a source for good 16x7 wheels at or slightly above 14 lbs with E36 fitment and offset? Feel free to reply via PM or email to webmaster@bmwccaclubracing.com

Thanks!

Bimmerworld might have some team dynamics wheels that would fit the bill.

+1...the price is right and in talking with the Miata crowd and Bimmerworld, very strong.

i have been running 16x7 td's from bimmerworld for three years on my ITS car. light, work great, no issues what-so-ever.

may even be sellling all 8 of them later this spring...(not because they are bad, because i am changing classes.)

TireRack saved a few of the popular sizes of the K1Racing. They also had Kosei make a NEW 16x7 K1Racing for SCCA ITS and BMW CR SpecE36. I heard that the shipment came in back in 12/2006 and they have LOTS on hand.

They are just over the 14 lb minumum and are $149 retail last time I called.

FYI, they also have the 17x8.5 that is perfect for the new SCCA ITR, $199 retail, and I think 16.8 lbs ......

We can get the Kosei's in 16x7's also. We are a sponsor for BMWCCA Club Racing and all licensed racers get free shipping on all wheels. :D

Does anyone have an actual weight for these wheels? I have heard anything between 14.3 lbs and 15.8 lbs for these same wheels. Is there anything definitive?

Pro Race 2's are in now in small quantity because that is all we could get on the first shipment. They started going out today. I have a feeling those who look hard enough might find a set on a car at Winterfest.

Our older ITS wheel was a 35 offset and not legal for Spec E36 because of the small offset change allowed. We still have some of these in stock and they are a great wheel. The Spec E36 wheel is the correct offset for the class.

k1's in 17 inches weigh about 16 pds so a 16 incher would weigh less

I hear the actual weight is 6.8kg or 14.9 lbs. I thought they would be lighter, but they are definitely very strong and proven on the racetrack. Definitely still the best deal at $149 each.

I'm pretty cheap, so I recommend getting some of the lighter OE wheels that are in the 16 lb range... I picked up a set of 4 straight wheels for $125 total!!!

My $0.02

I got the SE36-sized Kosei K1s in the other day. My highly accurate and precise (snort) bathroom scale gave me weights of 14.8--15.2 lbs on 5 repeated weighings, using myself as a tare.

I am looking for a set of 16" stockers for the limited street use the car will see (to/from the track).
