I bought a set of Midland GMRS/FRS radios to try out as in car/pit radios, they have an 18mile distance rating, which should be more than enougfh for the track I frequent.
what headsets are you guys using?
The midland uses the 2 prong connector, thoughts?

Should be...and yet far more powerful radios often aren't enough for VIR, Road Atlanta, Watkins Glen, and other large tracks with elevation change.

Eric- I just bought all my car harness and ptt equipment from ebay store HOT-RODgers-Florida. He was a little cheaper than the other retailers and takes more off if you purchase through him directly. Also I found a decent new headset for $75 also on ebay. Do a search for Klein Electronics- Armada headset. I recieved it yesterday and it works perfectly with my Motorola SP50 radios.
