For my first thread I have a question!

Will a 1990 E32 750i MAF and throttle body fit to a 1990 E32 735i? If yes, will it increase the flow?

I think maybe they could fit if the electrics are similar, but with not sure if they would increase air intake! Also I guess exhaust is probably restrictive anyway.

Food for thought.

"Food for thought" ?

Do you have more difficult questions?

The answer is no!

Part Cross-reference
Part 13621733678 (MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR) was found on the following vehicles:

E31: Details on E31
E31 850Ci COUPE

E32: Details on E32
E32 750iL SEDAN

And the 735 M30B35 engine has a VOLUME AIR FLOW SENSOR.

The design and the function is completely different.

And if you say 1990: that does not much help actually. Always indicate the month and year of production, not just a model year or whatever. There were so many different designs and changes, and not at the end of the year, but usually in 09 of each year, but sometimes also in different months.

Best is you indicate the VIN number, then a real serious E32 buy can help you.
VIN decoder you can find on my website below where you find the month and year of production.
Then I could look into wiring diagrams for your car.

"The answer is no!

Is the answer "yes, but no" or "no and no"?

I think the MAF for both the 735 and the 750 are the same; however, it won't make any difference because you're still using the same MAF.

But I could be wrong -- the easiest way to find out is cross-check the part number for both models.

Thanks Shogan and Plik!

Basically i am just looking to see if my AFM and throttle body restricts the flow? I don't think it does, just interested to find out. Maybe i should have put that in my original post!

I rebuilt my E32 last year and looking to build a turbo this year with a little help from Todd @ TCD. If i can i am about to add a thread with lovely pics of the rebuild. Not sure if i can add pics etc, but will find out.

Thanks, JC

check here for both engines, you see the difference.

BTW: here you can see the MAF from the 750 in detail

Pics would be wonderful, but I believe you can only post pics on this board after more than 20 postings.
But if you post pics from photobucket or so it might be possible.
Otherwise just hurry up and post more ;-)
