Can't go wrong with any of them, IMO. geno 01-09-2007, 04:10 PM Just about anyone who has done this has used UUC, Eibach or H&R spring set-ups along with a bilstein shock. Can't go wrong with any of them, IMO. +1. It is a matter of preference as well. Are you looking for stock height and comfort, mild drop and slightly harsher ride, or ghetto slammed, pimped-out, ass scraping experience? The below example is a Bilstein HD/Eibach 1.3" drop (Mild) setup. Works for me. I've heard that KYB are pretty much stock replacement, while Bilstein HD are more Heavy Duty. I thought Monroe was for Buicks...;) Good luck! Gene plik 01-09-2007, 06:45 PM I'm thinking about doing an H&R State I myself. I just want a .6 drop, but here is a picture of ccmdoc's car. It has a 2" drop and looks sweet! http://www.bestdesignever.com/osv/ccmdoc.jpg Here's a thread on that topic, http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=612380 series 01-10-2007, 01:24 AM yea im lookin for a hash ride like a 2 inch dropp 740iOrientBlue 01-10-2007, 07:42 AM I'm thinking about doing an H&R State I myself. BMW5868 01-10-2007, 07:30 PM UUC springs 1.9 frt drop & 1.6 rear drop with bilstein HO and camber adjusting plates. ccmdoc 01-11-2007, 08:48 AM about your exhaust setup? The exhaust is Remus - $499.95 each - which means $1000 for the whole setup. That price is from Bav Auto. Sound is throaty but not loud - nice for the '7'. I actually just purchased the Eisenmann 4X83mm dual round pipes - hard to resist after seeing 'Scorcher's setup - http://youtube.com/watch?v=VMEjIzNXEXs- toiled a long time, but I just coudn't take the square pipes anymore. Just a little too ricy for me. I think the magna flow setup many are using and currently featured in an active thread works and looks real nice and at a great price - around $150. http://youtube.com/watch?v=BaXF3paTlas Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread. series 01-11-2007, 02:59 PM 150 for megnaflows dang where cant i get them at??? |
