i have then in my trunk...i will put one on and walk around the car saying "it does look pretty cool, but i'm 38, not 18...."

I have them and love them, just gives the car another look...subtle, but it is certainly up to the individual.

I've had them on my car for about 3 months. Opinion is mixed among those who see them in person. E.g., wife hates them. But since I like them (for now) and it is my car, they will stay (for now).

It's nice to change the look subtly every once in awhile. If you don't like them, they are easy enough to remove. Plus, they aren't completely ridiculous like, say, a roof spoiler. So give them a try.

Roof spoilers are OK too. I don't have one but if one fell in my lap I would try it out.

Had them on my non-AE's and liked them. Still like them, but somehow i don't want to put anything on my new headlights right now.

I say nay on the E39, just doesn't fit well with the car methinks. I had them on my Audi A4 and I thought they looked pretty good, and a friend of mine had them on his Mazda 3. Looked good there as well. Not sure about the 5'er, though.

Little tip for some of you guys- you have a BMW. Just by brand alone everyone and their brother is going to make some plastic piece of crap or some 25" nipple wheels that bolt to your car. Why? Becasue they know you have some money. It is up to you to decide the good from the evil.
