Have noticed the rest button near the climate control area. Not sure what it is. My mother had the same button on her Benz. It kept the cab warm after exiting for a short time. Am I to assume that is what this button does??

Cool. Would you be able to elaberate a little on how it works... how long does it stay on, what temp does it keep the car??

IIRC, this feature is explained in the owner's manual

I knew that was coming. Should've mentioned I could'nt find it in the manual(s), which is why I asked.

honestly, I am not 100% sure myself, hence I started off by saying If I Recall Correctly -IIRC)

Heck, I might be thinking of an entirely different feature (page 108???)

BTW...those that have the MAX button...have this same feature. Once the ambient exterior temps drop below 59 degrees (F)...the MAX button can use residual heat from the engine to blow warm air into the cabin when the car is turned off. ;)

Wow. I was wondering why my bimmer seems so much warmer than other cars -- even if it is just standing outside, with the engine off. Now I know!
