When I exit off the interstate above 90 and push the clutch in, the car will rev down and stall. My RX-7 did this because the ecu couldn't compenstate and raise the rev quick enough with a heavy flywheel pulling it down. Didn't expect that on a bimmer. Would a grounding loop system for the engine bay help? Anyone else have the same issue?

I've only driven one manual BMW and didn't experience what you're describing. I doubt it's normal.

The car runs great and starts right up. It's just if I push the clutch in above 3500 rpm and let the motor fall down, it will continue to drop rpm and stall. It's only done it in the mornings but it's at full operating temps and it's not cold in texas. Maybe in the 50's in the mornings so nothing extereme. I havn't noticed any misses but I've read about the plastic coil packs that are prone to fail and when I did plugs I found out thats what I have. How prone are they to failing? Like I said the car idles smooth and has plenty of power still. Weird.

Mines stalls occasionally, except at about 1500-2000rpm just as ive changed down in to 2nd and about to go on the gas to take a tight 90degree turn.
More often it happens when im about to stop at a set of lights, almost at a stop, but the lights change to green, i engage 1st gear (car still rolling) give a little gas but instead of revs rising, the revs dip from idle (~700 rpm) and the car stalls. I have no idea whats wrong, very weird.:confused
im planning on changing the fuel filter soon anyway, and will do spark plugs and ignition coils thereafter.

I have a new fuel filter in the trunk. Maybe I oughta replace it lol. Didn't even dawn on me. But it idle's fine which doesn't lead me to think fuel filter.

Check the MAF. Clean the entire intake. Look for leaks.

I put a cai on it. It put a K&N down in the bumper. It's all sealed and maf looks good.
