Have "99 M3 (stock), changed the battery (everything was working before it went dead) then tried to reinitialize the windows and the pass. window won't do anything but can hear click in the door panel as if the switch is getting power but motor won't work (driver's side initialized as expected and sunroof works fine).

Also have 2 other problems that started after the battery change:
1) CD changer gives "no magazine" message and won't reject the magazine, and
2) driver's side door lock won't lock/unlock with remote (trunk and pass. door work fine, driver's side actuates the others if used manually).

Have reinitialized windows, disconnected battery again, disconnected the changer wiring and checked its fuse, tried every combo of messing with driver's side door lock, actuated the cabin door lock button but no fix.

Owner's man. and service manual don't have any other info. Any ideas? Thanks.
Andy

On my 323IS, I had a "Click" on my passenger side window, and the problem as a jammed window regulator assembly. If you get the click, you are getting power to the window.
There is a proceedure to remove a stuck magazine. If yoiu look to the archives you will find the method.
I would say you have a bad driver's door lock actuator. Will it lock/unlock using the key from the opposite front door?

UNCLE- Thanks for the response. You're probably right about the window regulator, will pull the panel and see. The lock actuator probably is gone as the switch in the lock mech. actuates other locks but the driver's side won't open if you try to actuate it from the pass. side.

Got the magazine out-really need something the thickness of a credit card but the release is 4" back and to the left of the magazine (used a 6x2" plastic ruler that worked great). Took the changer apart and it appears "no magazine" really means the changer is fried as it does nothing at all so it just is not recognized by the stereo head.

Thanks for the help. I'll let you know what the window fix turns out to be.
