First post- what's upppppp

I have a 2004 330ci which has not been modified at all other than window tints. I have another car, 2002 Infiniti G20 which is also known as p11. The x-factor that stands out between the two cars is the bmw's suspension system. I want to upgrade my Infiniti's suspension system and see if I could somewhat replicate the bmw's suspension performance. How would I go about doing that? I thought maybe getting a coilover kit is a start. But, what about buying the shocks and springs by the same company that the bmw uses? Does anyone know which company supplies the brakes for that bmw car?

Or does anyone know where I can find the exact specs of the suspension that came stock with the 2004 330ci?

On a side note, does anyone know what material bmw uses for the brake rotors? ceramic?

You'd probably be better off asking the suspension question on an Infinity board because they will know which suspension manufacturer has the best results. You probably could get away with just springs and shocks, but a coilover kit for the added couple of hundred of dollars is worth the added adjustability.

Just because the OE suspension on your BMW is made by a certain company, there is no guarantee that such company will have a similar suspension for your Infinity.

BMW Brakes are non ceramic as you can tell by the amount of dust they leave. The rotors are made out of stainless steel and the pads are an organic carbon compound.

Tein makes coilovers for the G20, somewhere in the vicinity of $1000. 16 differant dampening settings and the available electronic controller. Or you can go with Koni shocks/struts and Koni or B&G springs. It will definately help but theres more to a BMW's handling than shocks and springs.

oh i know that. but while we're on the subject, what else contributes to bmw's cornering and handling capability other than struts/springs.

Near perfect 50/50 weight distribution front to back. All aluminum suspension. Careful selection of wheels and tires. BMW are masters at putting all this together for the special feel of their cars. I have the same car and the road feel is amazing. I can feel everything the tires are doing. I think you'll have a very difficult time copying that. The other car makers have been trying for years and haven't quite got it yet.
