Though nothing can ever detract from their courage and dedication, i found this an interesting shot.
Found this surfing the web, the courage of these guys still amaze me and their choice of vehicle i'm pretty sure is a 740.

although this is a great picture for the bravery of all the fire fighters and police, as well as the military ..
and i can say with certainty that we all appreciate them ..
we should really be saying look at the bravery of these men..
not the sweet ass ride they are driving.. i am the first to say .. the BMW 7 series car is the sexiest damn car i have ever seen, driven own.. but lets remember all the bravery of all the men and their families that lost their lives in this horrible day.
oh and after rereading your post yes you are absolutly right "Though nothing can ever detract from their courage and dedication" and yes it was a 7 series BMW .. i remember seeing this pic couple of months ago.. very interesting shot.
lets bring our men and women home.. !!!

I've a suspicion that they commandeered a 7 along the way, probably one that'd gotten damaged by the rubble. Notice that the rear windshield is smashed in - I'm pretty sure they don't do that to their equipment.

I think the caption read something like "NYFD finest meets BMW finest - terrorist beware" Nice blow up.
