View Full Version : FS Locally HP Officejet 7110 - $150
M3Bill 01-07-2007, 02:42 PM I have had this multi-function device for about 2 years and it has rarely been used as I also have a laser printer. I am in the market for a laser MFD, so this ink-jet MFD needs to go.
If you do a Google search, you will find it new for $350, so I think my price is a darn good deal.

Nope. I think I am just going to donate it and get the tax benefit instead.

Lets think about this:
You are a lawyer.
It's common knowledge that all lawyers rape their clients with their obscene per hour rates.
You are no exception to this rule.
If you add up the time it will take to go through the whole donation process, subtract the value of the donated printer, and lay it against your billing, even AFTER taxes, you are clearly operating at a significant loss. Far more so, than the $70 price I was holding out for. ;)
Either way, have a great holiday weekend. :)

Another way to look at it...virtually every lawyer here serves on the board of directors of some non-profit. One of them will want it, so it will take little of my time to donate it.
But I will accept $100 from a bfc person...

Jeez bill. So serious. I'll probably take it at that price. I'll let you know tuesday if you still have it by then. My old all-in-one has a cartridge alignment issue and I've been needing a new one for a while....

ctbimmer 01-15-2007, 09:18 AM Bill, if it's still available, consider it SOLD for $100. PM me with details.
M3Bill 01-15-2007, 01:38 PM Update: The printer is no longer for sale. In preparation for sale, I turned it on this morning (for the first time since I moved) and attempted to clean and align the print heads. I got error messages in both instances and tinkered with it for quite some time.
I don't know if it got rattled when I moved last year, but notwithstanding the fact that I am an attorney, I cannot in good conscience sell a piece of equipment that is not functioning properly. :D
So I am going to throw it away. If, however, anyone wants it for free to see if they can fix it, let me know and it is yours. Please note, however, that my trash man comes tomorrow.

I'll take it...
and then sell it on ebay for $150.
