I believe that Cyntex in West Chester, PA can do OBDI BMWs.

I think they closed down the shop from what I heard.. Bsaint (steve) was saying at some point that they now do tuning for grand am racing teams or something like that, but maybe there shop is still open?

Correct, And no the shop is not open either, They are not in business anymore, Paul from cyntex took his grand am spot on full time. VAC is in Philly and can do OBDI tunes just as well its about $400.

I just checked out their site. Will definately give them a call. Is it really worth it if all you have is a catback and intake?

maybe, maybe not depends on future plans, I would do your 24# injectors exhaust work and intake work then get it tunned for that. But if you future plans include cams or head work I would hold off.

I had just planned on doing a full custom exhaust, intake, pulles, maybe a performance flywheel/clutch setup. Injectors you say? Where would I get those from? I have seen quite a few videos of your car and it seems to tear everything apart. Can I buy your ecu:devillookmaybe, maybe not depends on future plans, I would do your 24# injectors exhaust work and intake work then get it tunned for that. So for $400 what does a tune entail? Is it a few dyno pulls to program the ecu or something to the best performance? I honestly have no idea.

vac dyno is really cool because its not a roller. its 2 boxs that hook up to ur hubs. also they will sit ther eand show you how it works and tell you what kinda power you can get if he does some adjustments and stuff

I'm actually not sure, call tony and see if he can. I don't see why not, if not AWE or ICS ;)

24# injectors pretty much anywhere Bavauto, turner, the flywheel/clutch and pulleys wont matter but deff exhaust, intake, injectors then tune.

They use a Dynopak dyno....top notch equiptment. I called them though, and they said that they needed my car for a week. I wish someone could explain why???? :confused The shop I used to work at could knock out a NA tune in about 1 hour (2 at most) and of course boost takes more. Why is it so hard with the BMW's? Base map, and modify from there, is there any other hurdles to cross? They also quoted me $600 (which I have no problem paying) but im not going to leave my car in Philly for a friggen week. (I also refuse to tune it on anything other than a Dynopak as well)

$600 is a bit high and also I don't know why they need it for a week other then the fact that there are other customers in front of them. And there shop is in a secure spot all locked in nothing will happen to it, and by the looks of the side of your car it looks like its already been philly'ed up ;)

Took me a few minutes to get that. How much of a difference am I going to see from a custom tune over say a conforti chip?$600 is a bit high and also I don't know why they need it for a week other then the fact that there are other customers in front of them. Call him back up and as for Tony, tell them the Balls sent you ;)

Well, its also my DD. I would prefer to pay 400, but even $600 would be reasonable to me, as long as I could set up a date (as in my day, no one ahead of me) , drive to Philly, spend the day, eat some cheese steaks, ditty bop around, and drive home in a freshly awoken machine, but to leave it for a week seems crazy. Yes, as for the Philly'ed up, I guess at this point all they can do is steal it:eek:

Yeah, their explanation was that they would put it on the dyno, then if they had to get a car in the shop, take it back off to get the car in. Seriously, tuning is tuning is tuning, and if you specialize in BMW, they it should only take a few hours....a day at the most:dunno
