Well I needed to drop of parts for my car at hot wheels (it's been there for a week now) and John let me go back to see it. And all I can say is wow! It looks brand new, except for the color of bondo before they paint. I will post up pictures after I get home from looking at a car for my little brother. And less than one week before it is finished :buttrock.

They lost the "40" because it referred to the height of the original car in inches. The new GT is actually slightly taller to make the driving position more comfortable and allow people over 5'8" enjoy it as well.

These are right before they buffed the car. If you look at the picture of the roof about half of it was finished.

No not really. I'm pretty sure this was the only black one, but you never know he might have had another hidden somewhere. If they refinished your wheels then they might have put different rims on while the others weren't ready.

Yeah mine should be at that stage about now actually. I'm dying to drive the car its been about 2 weeks and a couple of days since I've driven it. This makes me wonder how I was able to look at my car everyday for six weeks when I blew the head. It was very depressing to know that it was almost done every day.

Ok I picked up the car on Thursday at 5 and all I can say is wow! John and the guys at Hot Wheels did a fantastic job, the pearl white sparkles at night.
I don't have a camera at school right now so pictures are gonna have to wait until the end of the week.

Well my damn luck. Something bounced off the road and chipped the paint on the driver side door. I'm so pissed.

The paint shouldnt have chipped from a rock impact, except for a few reasons.

Adhesion problems, from poor surface prep
Extremely fresh paint and the clear hasnt fully cured
Weak Clear Coat, Acryl-Urethane is the way to go these days.
The paint cured too fastIt really shouldnt have cracked, much less chip unless it was one of those things or one hell of a rock. That really sucks. How big is the chip persay?
