Good question...hope you can get someone who works at a dealership to chime in with their opinions!

Personally, I love the Logic7. I was worried I would need to change out the subs to get more base, but the bump is more than adequate.

I've read on other forums that people that didn't have the Logic7 wanted it after they compared the different between the stock. If you get the 335i Coupe it's standard. /cheer

You really have to push the stock system to its limits and decide if its all you need. Upgrading is a real pain with diminishing returns after the first minor details, and you can never re-option for the L7. After my lastBMW's abysmally poor stereo (01' S54 M-roadster, HK), which was adorned with hundreds (really, like 11) filigreed speakers driven by an even worse set of amps (10% thd at max) , I thought that the L7 was the best german OEM stereo ever, and it may well be. The stock system in the demos I tested was way better than my old stereo, but still fell short. Not like the M's "old man farting in my right ear" subwoffer bad, but underpowered and without the soundstage of the L7 surround modes. The stereo is one thing I'd recommend 'over-optioning' if you love music. Look at what many BMW owners have put into upgrading the stereo in past models and you'll see what a fools errand it can be (unless stereo modding is your thing).

Your dealer is able to change the order with BMW almost right before it goes into production I have been told. This may be one you might want consider doing so with - if you really like quality musical sound at all, get the L7. For talk radio only, no big deal. :shifty

Yes the dealer is able to change or modify the car up until the car goes into red status. There is GREEN- open for modifications, YELLOW- close to getting pulled from the factory. Make all the modifications you need imediately, RED- car has been pulled in to production. No more modifcations.

if you drive long trips and love to listen to music, you probably should get the L7.
I drive to work mostly and listen to news/sports on the AM dial.. i didn't get L7.. don't think L7 makes that much diff with sportscasts :)

its funny becuase i would have thought the logic7 to be a must but the dealer i worked with said that there wasnt a big difference and the stock system had the same subs with just a few less speakers and no decoder.....hmmm

I purchased my 328xi w/o the L7, and I can tell you it is a great performing system! I find it to be much better than my old Harmon Kardon system in my 02 325i. I am happy I didnt pay the extra$$$ for the L7
