Concur. Like to see a few of them run without any adverse effects on the engine for a year or so b/4 I sink any hard earned money into a SC that drastically shortens the life of the S54. These engines are just too expensive to take that kind of a chance without some assurance..... SC on a Chev LS1 or LS6, I wouldn't bat a lash. A SC on a S54, I’d be afraid. I’d be very afraid.......:icon15: Make any hint of warranty to BMW with a blown S54 b/c of a SC and they'll go into a laughing fit. : BMWguy206 01-07-2003, 03:07 PM Damn, someone just said goodbye to their 6yr/100,000 mile engine warranty! Sticky 01-08-2003, 04:57 AM Talked to rms at the auto show today, they don't reduce redline with the kit! Stage 1 is 9k and stage 2 is 15k. Installation is about 1800 for stage 1, forgot how much for stage 2. During 2003 I think im going to get it, skrew the warranty, you only live once. Dinan330ic 01-08-2003, 05:23 AM Good lord that's a lot of power VoltesV 01-09-2003, 01:36 AM Originally posted by Jon Caldito Damn, someone just said goodbye to their 6yr/100,000 mile engine warranty! You mean a supercharger voids the warranty?!? :D BMWguy206 01-09-2003, 04:45 AM Depending on the damage and if the SC was the cause of it.. Yup. Heck if the service dept. wants to get nasty, all they gotta do is look at the engine bay, get the VIN, and call BMW Warranty and tell them to type then "Void drivetrain warranty due to high performance modification done to engine" on their DCS (dealer communication system). They do it to BMWs with Dinan products as well. |
