I just replaced amber turns with clears - - it blinks now like.....KIND of yellow but not really. Not THAT visible during the day but during hte night it's pretty visible

This = illegal? Stock corner lights with clear corners?
I don't really want to buy those stealth lights but I don't want to get pulled over either...

I have had no problem with a little over the year. My rears are clear lenses but blink yellow, but my front corners blink whitish.

You'll be ok. I think it's only the rears that they stress about.

Yeah its mostly the rear they care about, if they are good then your set.

you just have clear lights in em... you're going to need to get orange/amber bulbs to remain legal...

ideally, get "stealth" bulbs.. they blink orange but look chrome/silver/clear-ish when off... so your clears still show as clear... i have them in mine... you can get em on ebay, or there's a vendor on this site that sells them with a lifetime warranty... check out the 4sale/vendor group buy forum

There is a DIY somewhere for painting your bulbs to get the silver look and still light up amber, but it seemed like a hassle. Probably easier just to buy em like Topher said.
