I had to jumpstart my e34 last night and when I got in and turned on the radio it asked for a code. I dont think I got it from the original owner and Ive heard theres a way to override the code by disconnecting the battery terminal for 10 minutes in under the back seat and re-programing the code. Can anyone help?

it should be in the back of your manual if not you have 2 options... take a small hex key and take out the Head Unit, look on the back for the VIN and get the info or take your info to your local stealership and they should be able to look it up no problem.

There is on the C33. Not sure what radio you have, but you can sure give it a try.

Turn the ignition key to the first position, then push and hold the "M" button that is located to the right of the radio display for 10 sec. The radio serial number will then appear. Tell the dealer this number and they can tell you the code.

he has a not c33, he has an "alpine 5" and those you have to take out.
