99' 323ic with business radio and cd in trunk (Non-HK, 10 speakers system). The speakers in the back side panels I believe are blown. Distortion when turned up with vibration.

What size are they?
Just pull panels to get to them?
Recommended replacements?

Yup. Just press the speaker panel (The upholstered insert that has the two grills) in and forward at the same time and it will slide forward about 3/4" and free itself. The speakers are accessible from there.

depending on year ..the size is 3.5 or 4" ..i put 4" boston acoustic s45...great sound ...from a nice 2 way speaker

Mine Are 3.5 I had to replace both.

I think 6 out of 10 of my speakers are blown. I have seen where bavirian auto has a package of 10 speakers for $400. Has anyone tried them, does anyone recommend anything else. I am not really interested in making much modifications.

Will check out the push in and pull on the weekend to get to those speakers.

if you mount the speakers from the back of the pod you can just fit 5" jobbies in there!
