Is anyone going to this? I am planning on it. I have to check what my college schedule looks like once I get back, but if I don't have any major projects or something to do that weekend, I'm planning on going. I don't have any close friends that are even remotely interested in BMWs, so it looks like I'll be having the $75 hotel room to myself if I go.

Just curious to see if anyone was going to be there... this will (hopefully) be my first track event!

I had to make a choice, Winterfest or RA. I chose Winterfest...unless someone wants to buy me a spot. HeHe

I'm really thinking about doing this. I've been to a few AutoX's before and absolutely love this, but how long do you get to drive for the ~$300+hotel room cost?

That money would go a long ways towards getting my car more prepped to the 'limits' of BS, but if it's alot of driving time and an absolute blast - I don't see how I can turn it down. :)

Well i've been to Atlanta twice now, so i think i'm gonna opt for the VIR Full course school instead..

Alex, perhaps you could chime on how much actual seat time one should be expecting from the typical Driver's School @ Road Atlanta (if you've been twice?).

yeah no prob..

Typically you get 4 track sessions, sometimes 5 depending on how smoothly things run and how many, if any, wrecks occur.. each session is about 25 minutes long.. you do this saturday and sunday, so cumulatively you can expect about 4+ hours of track time throughout the weekend, and at least several hours of classroom instruction.

It's the best $300 you'll ever spend on your bimmer.. no discussion. Everyone should do a DE at some point, and if you think you know how to drive fast, you'll be in for a surprise ;) Seriously though, it's a great learning experience..

I'll hope to be there with my dad also. I live about 40 minutes away so can i just stay at home or do i need to be closer? and does anyone know an exact price per person, and is there an age limit?

thanks
