Thanks to all who replied to my first post. ; ' ) Turns out the coolent leak was coming from the water pump. So after installing my brand new water pump and feeling like a god, I took my car out for some tuning. Bring her back into the shop and pop the hood only to notice my coolent hoses blown up like water balloons, and subsequently explode in a gyszer of hot antifreeze. I guess the leak for being forced by a great problem. Any ideas as to what would cause the coolent system to build pressure like that. I mean I can live with opening the refill cap to relieve the pressure, but I'd rather not have to eh.

Did you run the engine up to operating temp and made sure the thermostat opened before putting the rad cap on?? System may just need to be bled. If you did then it could be a headgasket Pull the rad cap and run the engine, if there are bubbles appearing in your rad chances are the headgasket is blown.

What did your temp gauge look like? Normal then shoots to the red, or did it slowly get up to red? If it at all went into the red.
Chances are it's either air in the system, or Headgasket is going/gone.

I honestly don't remember what the temp was reading... After changing the water pump I thought I'd solved my coolent problem/wasn't paying attention to it. So I don't know if she was over heated when the hose blew. Having said that, after driving it to work and back today, the tempature stayed at the constant even but still built up some pressure.

Where abouts in Langley are you ? I am just north of highway 1. Where do you get your parts from? I get mine from Autobahn Dismantlers in downtown Langley just because I used to get all my VW stuff there, he is still cheaper then Bow Wow, any good places you have found?

Depends on what your looking for, when I'm buying new parts I get my stuff from Valley Eurotech in Abbotsford. I don't really have a referrence to know if there any cheaper, but it's great service and good parts. If I'm going used for odds and ends I go through a wrecker in South Burnaby who specializes in Euro's. And have found him to be extremly cheap. I'll have to find the name of that place, can't memeber off the top of my head.

Well if you can find the name of the used place that would be great, i am looking for a bracket for one of my fog lights, light is fine but the plastic bracket is busted.
