It appears that while they are genuine Hella, they were coated by the aftermarket.

The genuine smoked Hellas are Euro ellips but are clear facing head-on.

I thought so....Fake.....Just like what alot do with their tails.

yes, its because the reflectors are smoked and not the lenses themselves.

I personally do not like that look. I'd keep the ambers too and mod the rest...ambers give it character.

The rear ambers are the one thing I hate... they look so much smoother and classier blacked out on a black car. And pretty nice in clear on a white car.

They ambers just upset the flow of the lines to me. I love how the reds /trunk carry the character line all the way around though.

Those lights would have horrible output. I tried that with my euro ellips, and couldn't see sh** at night. Plus, it looks bad with the chrome rings, at least those would have to get blacked out too.
