duesselldorf mofos roll clean conversions. still not quite pretty but pulls off the idea better than most:

lol i remeber when this was started, it was too late after he gave it a second thought. The other one looks better, i think the hood is was makes it flow nicer. I would of kept it the way it looked though.

What an abomination. The best part of the E34 is the distinctive quad headlights. Why on Earth would anyone want to change the defining characteristic of the E34 with headlights that absolutely don't match the car. The E39 headlights are gorgeous... on an E39. They don't belong on an E34 at all.

And the E36 lights... ugh why. They're ugly in the first place, and even uglier on an E34.

This is never going to die. Those were the good ol' days when this forum used to kick ass.

Personally, I like this kind of free-spirit thinking. You all would do well to think about fixing up your own cars in a similar fashion.

I actually kinda like that one - the smooth grill-hood transition makes it look a lot more modern but not out of place. Is there a writeup somewhere on how to do that?
