it's going to be such a nice day might as well grab the gf and strech the M3's legs. I was thinking of driving 1-2 hrs for lunch and I'm stuck on Archer City. Looking for other suggestions that's a nice drive about 1-2 hrs from D/FW for lunch

If you drive fast enough, you might be able to go to Fredericksberg

Yes. That's a great place to start. Anything north of the red river, and you will most likly be eating possum, and have your girlfreind mistaken for your sister.

Why not head west? Pick up highway 180 in Weatherford and cruise out to Albany, TX.
There is an amazing steakhouse there called The Beehive. Absolutely the best fillet you'll ever eat. Plus they have great grilled chicken for the gf if she doesn't like beef.....:devillook
Only catch is they may not be open for lunch.

the drive out west sucks. flat and dead. Nothing to look at and no twisties as far as I've seen.
I didn't think they allowed BMW's in baird. Shouldn't you have a 1979 ford F250 4x4?

Hey....I never said the drive would be pretty, just that the food would be good. And you're right, there are no twisties out here in west TX.
They do allow BMW's in Baird...but only 318s. :(

My first car was a 318. I lived in abilene at the time. my next one was a 750iL. You can imagine a 19 year old kid with a 750 in abilene. I used to pile the ladies in and drive around.
