I was driving my friends auto E36 323is to the shop and came to a stoplight on wilshire blvd. A white Lincoln Aviator pulls up next to me to try and veer into my lane because there are parked cars up ahead......The light truend green and we both goose it. To my surprise the aviator started pulling on me pretty hard...had about 2.5 cars on me by the time he had to veer....i take it those things are monsters off the line with the torque they have.....I was sure i had him though, i mean a 4500 lb SUV.....i guessed wrong though......

Too bad you could not have kept up and paced him towards the vehicles....I love doing that.

the avators have the 4.6 motor out of a 98 mustang cobra they have some decent grunt to em....

mostly i don't know what i'm saying cause it really didn't make much sense in this case....
i guess what i'm trying to say is that i'd much rather see a kill story of say....an e30 vs an e36 in the twisties

Good death.
My best friend has an auto 323iS so I've spent countless hours and thousands of miles in it, and bless it's poor little Bavarian soul, that car is an absolute dog. Most any SUV that could be described as even mildy "peppy" is going to own that car's face off.
It's a shame, but that's how it is these days.
