Complete inspection of the worn ass suspension on my car, scheduled for the 26th...free of charge. Gotta love this guy :buttrock

Thats a couple hundred dollars that will remain in my wallet instead being deposited in my mechanics bank account.

On a side note, Let the man out of TO, i realize some on this site get butthurt when he speaks his mind, and hes not always politically correct, but u cant ignore the *real* service hes willing to provide for the local BMW community.

I dont wanna sell the mans services for him, but im sure hed be willing to help anyone else in need...if not pro bono than for much less than you would be paying your local $tealer.

Those of you with the knowhow to do your own work...woopdie fucking doo:stickoutt

EDIT - BTW, this isnt the first time Jordan has assisted me with work on my car, he spent an entire saturday over the summer helping relpace RTABs, and other items. And its not like i show up, put in some parts, then leave...its a fucking classroom session almost, he takes the time to explain what where doing, why where doing it etc, which is damn helpful for someone like myself who is most definately not a mechanic.

That's what I charge, shit I'd charge 30 bucks to pump gas. But that might explain why I don't get much work like this.

That rate is more akin to Ferrari service, not BMW service.

Stuck is a crack-up. He must love the taste of his feet.

:confused this is what my mechanic charges hourly.

Infact, BMW chages 120/hour for diagnostic. I was quoted two hours to inspect the suspension and subframe by Classic. Thats 240 bones my friends.

Most of you guys have never met Stuck in person. Those of you who have know hes a good guy. I dont think anyone understands why he acts like an ass on the boards sometimes ;) But anyone who gets that offended by what is said on an internet forum needs a reality check.

Stuck's contributions to the local scene > intraweb BS

The mechanic i speak of is the mechanic i rarely use. Work done on my car is generally handled by myself and friends. Therefore, its free.

When something needs to be done that no one i know, including myself, has the know-how to handle, ill take it to my mechanic. 88.00/hr may not be the cheapest out there, but im far from being "ripped off" or "cornholed". Paying 240.00 at classic for the same job Jordan is going to help me with for free would be considered being "cornholed". Besides that, i would pay 88.00 an hour any day for legit service before i would pay 60-70/hr for some wrench monkey to tell me I have one vanos solenoid for each cylinder. (true story:eyecrazy)

Thanks for your concern though.

The only time ive ever needed work done, ive been in Dallas. And when i needed RTABs (i was in Austin, so soulspeed was an option), i decided to do it myself, with Jordans help.

Soulspeed isnt cheap tho either, whats Bill's hourly rate for labor?

I think $70 but I could be wrong.

Its 78.00/hr. So anyone who gets work done at Soulspeed must also be getting ripped off, according to Maranelloman. 10 dollars difference isnt much.

So if there is honestly a place somewhere that charges so much less than Soulspeed and my place in dallas that you can claim im getting "cornholed", then please bro, let us in on your seceret.

i didn't claim you were cornholed but I don't think Soulspeed would charge you to see what you need replaced. it's called an estimate.

I wasnt referring to you with my reply.:)

And yea, Soulspeed said they would only charge me half an hrs worth of labor to check it over.

was it just to see what you needed replaced as far as suspension or was it a like a prepurchase inspection?

Basically, i have some very odd movement coming from the rear end, so it might take some detective work to find the problem. but as far as Soulspeed knew, i was just asking them to check my shocks/springs.

You are a fool.

everyone give this guy a hand. :handclap If u need help getting your foot out of your mouth, im sure Stuck would be more than willing to lend a hand, since he apparently "loves the taste of his own feet":rofl :rofl

Yea ive heard good things about Bill. Id rather drop by Jordan's first though and see if we cant determine what the problem is. Letting Soulspeed do the work for me takes all the fun out of it;)
