This came as a shock to me: I was on the interstate at about 1am and i came across a C5 vette all alone. so i felt i should accompany him and roll around. after about 3 miles of him hearing my BOV going nutzo berserkoid next to him, he flicked his cigarette out the window and took off. I shifted into 3rd and chased after him. by the time i was 1/2 way thru 4th i had already caught him and i was passing by. then i wanted to go again but he got off at an exit close to mine. then, ironically, i see him after i got off the interstate going the opposite way. i flashed my lights at him but he ignored me. i think i hurt his ego with my grocery getter sedan with grey sideskirts:alrightbmw

He prolly just thought he won after the initial get up and quit accelerating after that. Still good stuff though

that's an impressive kill bro! do you know if it was an auto? the C5 is a monster on the highway so i am curious what you are putting to the ground.

i havent dynoed yet but i am hoping around 300 or so. i dont know if the vette was auto. im running rich right now but the mods are in my sig as far as the turbo goes. i was at 7psi but i am running a little more than that now :evil2 . i want to dyno but i have some things that are going in real soon (hg, 42# inj. and i have my eye on a turbonetics that i want)

I think he might have started pulling on you at higher speeds. My brother has an E36 M3 with just a bunch of bolt ons and tuned. He dynoe'd at 308HP, we raced a C5 manual on the freeway from about 80-130ish. He had 1 passenger and my brother had 3passengers. From the start we stood dead even all the way up to about 115, then he just started to walk right by us. It's that F'in 6th Gear! haha, By 130ish he was up by like 2 or 3 CL's. Good Run, I think he would of pulled you at higher speeds though.

yeah theres no telling what would have happened at those kinds of speeds. i wouldnt have gone that fast though because of the way the roads are around here.

Your brother has an N/A M3 that dyno'd 308? Is that SAE rwhp or is that a guess at crank? I don't think I've seen anything but a race-prepped US motor make over 300 whp. Post up his specs and dyno sheet, I'm sure guys in the M3 forum would love to know how he made that kind of power.

I was even with a modded SRT-4 down low and slowly beat it up top. It had a "snail".

Same with a Scion, it had a "snail".
