Not my kill, but thought I would share someone elses kill story between a FD and a bimmer.

Me and my brother were bored so we went out to see how bad the 7 will kill his boosted 330. It dynoed alittle over 300 hp at the wheels and like 290 tq with the mods.
RX7 has boltons, power fc, and stock boost

50 MPH roll bimer got the break both times

rx7s are lethal on the highway. I definitely want one but i wish their exhaust note was better sounding even though its only a 1.3l

If you want the FD to sound better, drop in an LS-1. But I like the rotary noise.

Two fd runs in short time frame, this is what I like to hear. I love my FD for its raw power, but The m3 is just so comfortable. Its always a toss up which to drive.

The sound can be nice with the right exhaust setup, dp, ceramic coated midpipe, and rsr racing magic muffler makes for a quiet idle with rather loud WOT.

just my .02

How do you think this particular rx7 sounds? I have heard slightly different in other videos and in person. Sick ass car either way

My buddy did that, it didn't hook up until 3rd.

I dont think the one in the video has a midpipe, but it would be much louder with one though. If you hear one with a midpipe, most likely they are single turbo since exhaust backpressure no longer needed to control boost for single turbo FD.

Yeah that thing is a complete monster - all 4 rotors are. 26b's is what they're reffered to as right? Have you seen the video with the 4 rotor in the Formula car revving? Its DEAFENING loud - Check it out on RotaryIllustrated.com (something like that). :evil2

One distinct advantage of the RX-7 is its low frontal area. It's probably 20% less than a 3 series, which means it has less power loss due to drag at the same speed as the 3.
