Cool so I'm not the only one totally in love with his e36 vert althought it's a 10 year old car and wants to keep it till the day he dies. (well that's how I still feel). If people can drive muscle car's from the 60's, why not this might-be future classic? Anyways...I don't know if vaders belongs there, even though I quite like them. M3 verts didn't get Vaders for no reason I guess...with the top down it looks a bit strange with different headrests. I might score a pair if I ever get the change. (you also got the cool M-Tech stripes on them) Are they electric too? Also, not many know there are 2 types of vader seats. You have the old(er) ones. The blue car I posted has the new ones. Can you spot the difference? (Answer: new ones have a more padded headrest. Which can easiliy be seen). Do bad you have the 4-spoke steering wheel. The //M-tech airbag wheel would complete your interior! (and M3 vert bench ;) ) MParallel 12-17-2006, 08:39 PM A pic of my centre console....I pulled out the crap chinese-brand Pioneer look-a-like DVD flipscreen and installed a BMW RDS CD front loader. I do justice to the M series...I've had this car since new....at the time you couldn't buy and M3 vert.....or I would have....I went with the 318 as it was cheap....and I bought an M3 coupe 1995...until I crashed her 4 yrs ago....have pics if you want to see them....I think i have one more new bimmer in my life....but i thinks its going to be the E46 M3 Vert.... the New M3 coming out so far does nothing for me. I have the same brake kit that you have; were yours 5mm spacers? and by whom? i wonder if they are all the same thanks In the front have a set of H&R 10mm that I cut down to 6mm. This is about as close as I can run the wheel spokes to the calipers without messing the spacer up. I tried 5mm H&R's but could only do so with Turner hub extensions because as you know with our front rotors, the bell is thicker that OEM rotors for some reason and does leave much hub protrusion left. Still had the shimmy. There is no way my straight spokes will clear the calipers without spacers - if they were curved I am certain they could. I am sure it's the spacers with the combo of my hard suspension. E36's just do not like wide wheels tracks. In the rear I run 10mm spacers just to match the track widths front and rear. Things not related to the shimmy that I have fixed: Wheel balancing/straightening LCABs Alignment Ball joints checked It all started when I put the BBK, suspension and spacers in. I am sure if I went back to stock everything the shimmy would be gone. amancuso 01-05-2007, 03:11 PM very nice pics diesel... also german pride, I've always liked your ride. dieseldriver99 01-05-2007, 03:14 PM Danke Shoen! Leatherette bound books and cameras are good examples of leatherette. Leatherette clothing of various kinds (including lingeries) also exists. A disadvantage of plastic "leatherette" is that it is not porous and does not allow air to pass through it, thus sweat can accumulate if it is used for clothing, car seat coverings etc. It is also known that people exposed to extreme heat (eg: fire burn victims) may suffer additional serious skin damage by contact with burning or melting leatherette. amancuso 01-15-2007, 07:29 PM I've seen you car a few times on the boards and I realy like it... particularly the color.... nice car. Anyway to check if an interior is leather or leatherette? skylar 01-15-2007, 09:10 PM To check if you have leather or leatherette. A couple things off hand, leather will absorb water unless you just treated it, water will just run off leatherette. You can also look at the bottom of your seats and see if a peice is sticking out. They feel different. Most cars that have the leather option still have leatherette on the seat-backs and sides and some cars have leatherette on the back seats as well. Funny how they do not tell you that when you buy the car. Full leather is a very costly option especially for P-cars. Honam 01-16-2007, 03:06 AM thats dedication honam... if you dont mind me asking... how much have you put into your car?... it looks amazing. Would've been easier if it had the "genuine leather" logo on it somewhere. I do have matching leather "Lux" doorpanels. Would be superised if that was leatherette too. Although I must say I have never heard of the leatherette term nor seeing it ever being mentioned over here (euro). lordofmpower 01-17-2007, 12:13 PM MParallel your vert is absolutely beautiful. BMW's just feel proper, even considering it's 10 years old now. Well, the leathe color isn't that important, but in my book, only the black dash and all other trim should be black. I can't stand the grey and beige plastic. Makes it look so cheap (again, in my opinion). I truelly can't stand it. Specially in the dark, black on black gives it a "mob" look with only the amber lightining visible. Having the full "flight deck" helps too: http://www.idon-industries.com/bimmer/dashstack.jpg http://www.idon-industries.com/bimmer/dash_stack_02.jpg http://www.idon-industries.com/bimmer/litknob.jpg And the not-seen-much Clubsport sills: http://www.idon-industries.com/bimmer/0008.jpg And as you can see in my sig. People that drive open with the windows up...I'm like...you should've just gotten a coupe with sunroof. Having said that....do you have any hi-res version of that pic? I want it as a screensaver :D (and MUCH props for not color coding the rubbing strips. Totally downs the car on lighter/bright colors) This contrast is perfect and the horizontal line stretches the car visually. dieseldriver99 02-09-2007, 08:25 PM Here's some of mine from VERRRY COOOOLD New Jersey! I missed that LED most dearly :( The clownnose? I really don't like the look of that big red clownose as it's know underneath the mirror. Couldn't they just made it a small led-bulb? I prefer my auto-dimm mirror with a smooth bottom. Also what percent tint did u use?...Thnx 15% however the softop window is not tinted. I have found that its not possible, thats why I like having the wind deflector when the top is up because it darkens the rear visibility in. dieseldriver99 02-16-2007, 10:34 AM I forgot to post the front of the car... patrickrolfsen 02-16-2007, 12:18 PM http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f338/patrickrolfsen/PatrickE36int.jpg http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f338/patrickrolfsen/PatrickE36.jpg http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f338/patrickrolfsen/PatrickMseats.jpg Camelius 02-17-2007, 11:32 AM Why can't i post pics?? replies with "you have no permission for pics, hyperlinks etc." :( |
