While my Mom is thinking of buying a new Sport Ute, I am the one stuck with all the leg work (not always a bad thing). Under options, BMW lists an Adjustable Ride Height option. It doesn't give many details, except it is higher when off road and gets lower when driving fast or unloading.

My question is: Is this a user selectable system like on Range ROvers? Like High, Normal, Low/Load?

Also, how reliable is it and ahs anybody heard of any problems? Is it worth the extra $500?
