I need some rods for my m42. I would like to get some that are a bit llighter then stock. I might just go with m44 rods, but they are weaker then m42 rods.

The eagle rods weigh 540g, the same as the m44. M42 weighs 610.

Most of the others i have seen have had astronomical prices, (the eagles are 400) but if you know of any others that would be great.

the eagles have the advantage in price and not having to wait till after christmas break to get custom ones which would kill me

what do you guys think? are the eagles good?

anyone know of any others?

Unless you run stupid amounts of boost, the M42 rounds are fine. They are thick, and weigh more because they are forged already. Should stand up to good amounts of boost just fine. VAC-Manley (http://www.vacmotorsports.com/cgi-bin/view_item.pl?item_id=600) has some I Beam rods for 900 for a set.

Then the eagle or manley rods are an option. Arrow may make a rod, but now you are talking serious money.

Ahh...sorry, thought you said it was .5 smaller, my bad. yes, 5mm is a different story.

Sucks to hear their rods are short. Kinda wierd they have shorter rods.

:lol :lol :lol

Anyways, i'm using the manley forged rods on my build...i have a 3.2L but the mainly rods were a very nice option, not too costly either...you should consider them as an alternative if you can't find anything else that you want...got them from VAC...they have them in stock, so no waiting there ;)

hmmm. I consider 900 for 4 rods pretty expensive. I emailed them and asked how much they weigh though
