I originally had these on my 328 when I first got it. Then I bent one and got rid of the set

I now have these and am pretty happy with them.

Could those be his spares with winter tires on? It looks like the sets that were going for $300+ each back in '96 at Competition BMW in Greenwich CT.

yeah they are my stockers. the car came with the 16" sport package rims. I actually don't run them in the winter, it's just the only pic I have with the HT on as a sigpic. :D

go to the electronic section for your audio ?'s

... but just a heads up, your going to want a head unit first as that will be the biggest improvment, most inexpensive, and you will need to base your further audio upgrades on that

Okay so far the vert looks like it will have the following.

NEW PAINT Black

Vader seats

contour rims 16" or m3 17"s ( http://www.houston-imports.com/forums/showthread.php?t=344264&highlight=bmw )

m3 Style front bumper... sound like a winner?

hmm as much as i believe the vadar seats look good in the vert, i wouldnt get them unless they were already in your car. The only way you will get a pair is if you get them used and for a perfect condition set its usually near 1000$. If you are set on getting new seats spend it on a pair of nice racing seats. You can even order leather with the racing seat if you dont want to lose that look. Plus itll save you near 100lbs and they look amazing plus fit great. Take a look at the Recaro Pole Positions. My personal recomendation. There are many out there that recline also if you want.

Go on the normal forums if you want to get new ideas...your still missing alot of good stuff on that list

Yes I love the Vaders, but I would tend to agree with estorilm3....I paid top dollar for the seats...I looked for a yr and most where very worn...I paid 1100 USD for near mint ....these are out of a low K 99 coupe....I've had my Car a very long time and when I bought it you couldn't get an M3 Vert here...or in the US for that matter....I would consider the racing seats, but if money isn't the big factor get the Vaders....I'm alot older than most of you and the Racing seat just doesnt suite me....Angel eyes ....don't cheap out there or you'll regret it....

EstorilM3...your car is pure sex.

youd be better off spending your money get the car update on all the maintenace and wear and tear items first, before changing the wheels or seats out.

on a 96, theres always something to be done.

I have stock wheels and like them. My 95' vert came with the sport package 16" wheels.

I am also in Houston and am about to install my ZF and 1:3.23 diff as well as a Nakamichi CD400 head unit and A/D/S speaker, amp and sub.

On seats, I park in a garage at home and used to have a parking garage at work so I left my top down for weeks at a time. Now my new work does not have covered parking and I notice the saddle leather tan seats are taking a beating from the sun. The drivers seat especially with the wear from me sitting in it is starting to crack up a bit.

Now I put the top up when parked in the sun and still have the car wash guy apply the leatherique type seat conditioner.

I guess it might be cheaper for me to buy a same color leather sport seat from a hardtop part out that to fix the leather on mine. What do you guys think? BTW my vert is black.

houston is a good city to own a vert. hopefully some top down time in the week to come. i would like to do something to my front seats in the near future. my passenger is torn snd drivers is getting worn. i was looking at the synthetic seat covers on ebay. and the stereo should be finished this week. ordered new tranny filter, 02 sensor, control arm bushings, tierod oil, and air filter. but will eventually get to some fun mods like exhaust and chip.

Glad to hear about another vert in Houston

I find alot of people on forums dont give people any opertunity to ask questions without being ragged on. I am new to the whole BMW Vert Arena but learn day by day about the e36 as a whole. I figured as a noob the best place to ask my question is in the vert section. Enuff about justifying.

For those who gave me great idea i apprreciate it

you need to ask questions that people can answer first.

asking questions about which wheels to get, what seats to get, or which angel eyes is just a waste of time. you should use the SEARCH feature, then ask a specific question if you need to know additional information that hasnt been previously addressed. trust me, its hard to be original around here. if you have a legit question, im sure its been asked and answered many times over.

have you ever heard the phrase, "ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer"? it applies here because a wealth of information is at your fingertips. youd get answers to your questions much faster by searching than by starting a new thread.

...and, You'll get many more opinions than from just one thread, plus those opinions and experiences will be based on a much longer duration of contributions.

Be sure to continue to post your Vert-specific questions in here though. Good to hear from another Vert owner in Texas.

another tip, when no one has posted in your thread for 3 days, just forget about it and let it die quietly.

no need to bump it up to ask the mods to close it. they wont, unless there are some serious violations of rules. :)

I totally agree. Try to get the car in 100% updated in maintenance before you do the mods. For my car, I'm keeping it 100% original, no mods. This way I don't lose money when I decide to sell it. Remember, because you like something, does not mean someone else will..:rolleyes
