Last night I was on a date walking out of World Café on Main Street in Santa Monica (7:40pm) I just happened to look over and there she was... the black M3 e92! I'm sure that to a lot of folks this is no big deal... but for me, my jaw is still on the floor.

The one thing that you just can't get from video clips and photos is the INCREDIBLE engine sound... (really solid, really powerful, and REALLY THROATY!) Not one hint of the tinny, raspy e46 M sound (Don't get me wrong fellas, love the e46 M3's but the sound has a lot of room for improvement.)

The guy driving... the infamous Mr. Bald, heavy, goatie guy was pretty cool 'cause after he obviously noticed the saucer-eyed, amazed look on my face, he generously graced me with a few big revs while sitting at the light then topped that with an effortless junior rocket launch! I can tell just from that this new M will be a monster.

It was still clad with the masking but... one word... Damn!

Living here in Santa Monica I see celebs all the time and I have never been the star-struck type but with this M, I completely lost my cool. Which is quite obvious cause I have a camera phone that was in my hand but there are no pics... sorry for that.
